Information we collect

Step Squad may collect the following information when you use the app:

  • Account information such as Apple Sign In identifier, display name, first name, last name, and avatar choice.
  • Challenge information such as selected character, daily goal, duration, status, completed days, and squad members.
  • Daily step summaries needed for challenge progress and leaderboard participation.
  • Purchase and entitlement records when premium features are used.
  • Rewarded ad unlock records when you choose to watch ads for character access.

Health data

Step Squad reads step counts from Apple HealthKit only with your permission. The app does not store raw hourly or minute-level HealthKit history on the backend. For app features, Step Squad stores daily step summaries and challenge day summaries.

Leaderboard participation

Leaderboard sharing is opt-in. If you choose to join, your daily step summary, total synced steps, profile display name, avatar, and squad size may appear in global rankings. You can turn leaderboard participation off in settings.

Advertising and purchases

Step Squad may use rewarded ads for optional character unlocks. Ads are shown only when you choose to watch them. Advertising may be served through Google AdMob. Purchase verification may be handled through third-party services such as RevenueCat or the App Store.

How we use information

We use collected information to operate core features, sync your progress, provide support, prevent abuse, improve the product, and maintain optional rankings.
